Hands-on Cloud Native Lifecycle Management

In the context of cloud native environments (containers, Function-as-a-Service, public cloud) a number of things change compared to your traditional on-premises, monolith-based lifecycle management. In this talk we will discuss a typical cloud native lifecycle, end-to-end on a conceptual level and demonstrate it using the following technologies: Telepresence, kedge, the client-go library, Kubernetes, Jenkins, the ELK stack, and Prometheus.

Required audience experience

Basic knowledge of containers, public cloud (VM, VPCs, etc.)

Objective of the talk

Explain the challenges of cloud native development and deployment styles and familiarize folks with the options they have.
